Synopsis

Nine year old, David Mitchell, struggles to survive another night with his drug-addled, drunken mother, Betty Jean. David knows his mother loves him and would never hurt him so he watches her transform into a monster before the impending abuse and rampage.

As the monster goes on a whirlwind of destruction, Betty Jean flashes back to memories of her own troubling past revealing a long kept secret and the dark atrocity haunting her. David can only wait out the storm of rage being displayed again, knowing the monster would soon lose steam and slumber allowing his mother to return and perhaps have a little peace.

David makes use of this time to make an escape. With bare feet through a barrage of debris, David is nearly safe when the monsters slumber is disturbed. With the monster hot on David's trail, will he break free tonight, or will it just be another night with my monster and me?
